- Arne Puls to become Chief Human Resources Officer of Volkswagen Financial Services AG
Effective April 1, 2024, Hubert Altschäffl will be appointed to the Executive Board of the Munich-based truck and bus manufacturer, MAN Truck & Bus SE. There, he will assume responsibility for the human resources department as a member of the Executive Board and labor director. He will succeed Arne Puls, who will, at the same time, assume the position of General Representative and, subject to the approval of the supervisory authorities, will become the Chief Human Resources Officer of Volkswagen Financial Services AG, overseeing the Personnel and Organization department. Hubert Altschäffl currently holds the position of Human Resources Top Management & Human Resources Management in the Volkswagen Group.

Hubert Altschäffl studied business administration in Regensburg and started his career in human resources at MAN in Munich after completing his degree as a Diplom-Kaufmann. After holding positions in leadership development and organization at the truck and bus manufacturer, he was responsible for Compensation & Benefits at the former holding company of the MAN Group from 2008. In 2013, he returned to MAN Truck & Bus and led the Management Principles and Organization department. Before joining TRATON SE, he played a crucial role in establishing the truck holding company. In 2019, he moved to TRATON SE, where Altschäffl was responsible for the entire management support of the Heavy Commercial Vehicle Group of the Volkswagen Group, which includes MAN Truck & Bus, SCANIA, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and now Navistar. In 2022, he moved to the Volkswagen Group in Wolfsburg. Since then, he has been heading the Corporate Human Resources Management department and, since the beginning of 2023, additionally the Corporate Human Resources Top Management.
Arne Puls began his career after studying information technology in Osnabrück in development control and production planning at Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg. In 2001, he switched to human resources and took on various management roles. Arne Puls was responsible, among other things, as Head of Corporate Human Resources Management, for performance and talent management, management compensation and principles, and the Global Assignments department. In January 2022, he joined the Executive Board of MAN Truck & Bus SE and has since been responsible for the human resources department and serves as labor director.
