Porsche Penske Motorsport celebrates victory in the largest endurance race in North America with the Porsche 963 hybrid prototype. Works drivers Felipe Nasr from Brazil, Dane Cameron (USA), Matt Campbell (Australia) and IndyCar star Josef Newgarden from the US clinched overall victory in the 24 Hours of Daytona, giving Porsche a banner start to the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
With the victory of the No. 7 hybrid prototype, Porsche has extended its record number of wins at the 24 Hours of Daytona to 19 overall victories. The #6 sister car from Porsche Penske Motorsport finished the season opener in the USA in P4. The customer Porsche 963 fielded by Proton Competition and JDC-Miller MotorSports rounded off the top result with positions five and six.
