Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Co., Ltd. (NMC) today announced the outline of their 2025 motorsports activities.

Takao Katagiri, head of Nissan’s Motorsports Business Unit and CEO of NMC, says, “Nissan/NMC will continue to take on new challenges and changes with maximum effort this year. Nissan is committed to electrification in motorsports as part of its goal to achieve a carbon-neutral society. Now in our seventh season of Formula E, we’ve already secured a victory in the second race under the newly introduced GEN3 Evo regulations. In Super GT, as previously announced, we’re preparing to reclaim the series championship with new organizations. In addition, we aim to further enhance the value of motorsports by supplying customer racing cars based on the GT-R and Z as well as providing technical support. And, of course, we’ll continue to deliver excitement to customers and Nissan/NISMO fans around the world.”

This season’s big news is the introduction of GEN3 Evo regulations. The GEN3 Evo race car features all-wheel drive, a new, stronger body kit and several other upgrades, making it the fastest Formula E car to date. Following an excellent year with the squad in 2024, Oliver Rowland is now piloting the #23 Nissan e-4ORCE 05, while Norman Nato returns in the #17 car. The team has enjoyed success in the first two rounds, with Rowland taking his fourth Formula E victory in Mexico City.
