- The Trident racing car is now suitable for various series, both sprint races – including the Italian GT Championship and the European Ultimate Cup Series –and endurance ones: the new Endurance Pack is unveiled.
The scope of possible conquest for the Maserati GT2 – the car that brought the House of the Trident back to excellence in the world of closed-wheel competitions last year – is expanding. The car is now also eligible for other championships.
During the opening week of the 2025 GT2 European Series by Pirelli, Maserati Corse presents an exclusive Endurance Pack, making the super sports car competitive and suitable for various series, both endurance and sprint races.
Indeed, Maserati GT2 has recently successfully completed the official tests for the ACI Sport Italia Italian Gran Turismo Sprint Championship, held in Misano on Monday 31 March and Tuesday 1 April, making it eligible for the GT Cup Class.

The car has also landed in the European Ultimate Cup Series, which kicked off during the weekend of 28 to 30 March at the Le Castellet circuit in the south of France.

New Endurance Pack for Maserati GT2
After various test sessions on the track, the kit is now ready for teams and drivers who own a Maserati GT2 or those looking for a competitive car on any track and in any race format to also participate in endurance car competitions that test the endurance of the super sports car over long periods of time, from four to 24 hours.
The new pack consists of Endurance lighting kits, electroluminescent number panels on the door, additional sensors, brake bell system and cabin UV light kit.
With lightweight, resistant components, the package guarantees excellent visibility in night sessions, greater speed during pit stops, enabling teams to compete at the highest level without compromising reliability. The lighting kit and electroluminescent number panel will also christen the debut of Maserati GT2 at night.

The Endurance Pack can be purchased as an optional extra for a new car or as an adaptation kit for a previously purchased Maserati GT2. The kit’s components will be available as spare parts on the after-sales portal dedicated to Maserati Corse customers. The Endurance Pack is available as a complete kit or individual packages, for customisation tailored to the specific requirements of each team or driver.
New scope of conquest for Maserati GT2 in sprint races
In the opening round of the 2025 European Cup Series, a Maserati GT2 was entered for the first time: the number 28 of the TFT Racing team which, with its crew consisting of Patrick Charlaix and Jordan Boisson, was immediately able to shine in the four 25-minute races scheduled as part of the GT Sprint Cup series. After the runner-up position (also equivalent to second in the UCS2 class) for Charlaix in Race 1 came the two overall victories by teammate Boisson, in rounds 2 and 4. Race 3 also saw another podium for Charlaix, who finished third.
Le Castellet will also be the setting for other challenges for the Maserati GT2: the countdown has begun and the new season of the GT2 European Series by Pirelli is due to kick off on the French track.House of the Trident’s cars starred in the 2024 season with victory in the drivers’ and teams’ titles in the Am Class.

After the opening event from 11 to 13 April, the European series will continue with five other stops: Zandvoort (Netherlands), 16-18 May; CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa (Belgium), 26-29 June; Misano (Italy), 18-20 July; Valencia (Spain), 19-21 September; and the final race in Barcelona (ESP), scheduled from 10 to 12 October.
Plus, In Italy from this year, the teams owning a Maserati GT2 will also have the opportunity to enter the ACI Sport Italia Italian Gran Turismo Sprint Championship, in the GT Cup class.
Indeed, from 2025 cars that do not include a single-brand configuration are permitted to enter the series. The Trident super sports car was suitable to engage in the four race weekends of the season, each of which will include two 50-minute races (+ 1 lap).
