Polestar announces that Lutz Stiegler has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and member of the Management Team, effective 1 December 2023. Lutz has over 25 years of experience in technology development within the automotive industry and joins Polestar from Volvo Cars, where he has held a number of roles, including responsibility for Volvo’s electric propulsion systems. Before joining Volvo Cars, he was Vice President of Powertrain Development at IAV GmbH.
Lutz succeeds Jörg Brandscheid, who is leaving Polestar during the fourth quarter, to pursue his career outside of the automotive industry.
