Jeep has announced a significant milestone in the production of the Jeep Avenger, with the 100,000th unit rolling off the assembly line at the Tychy plant. This landmark vehicle is an e-Hybrid model, showcasing Jeep’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Celebrated as the European Car of the Year in 2023, the Jeep Avenger has achieved remarkable recognition and popularity. Setting new standards in the B-SUV segment, the Avenger combines advanced technology with the iconic Jeep design to deliver an unparalleled driving experience.
Tomasz Gębka – Director of the Tychy plant has commented: „We are part of the Stellantis team, that has joined forces to create and produce the Jeep Avenger – an outstanding vehicle bringing driving pleasure to its passengers. We observe with satisfaction the successes it is achieving, winning numerous awards: the titles of European Car of the Year 2023, Best Family SUV 2023 and Autobest Best Buy, to name only some of the titles, that this exceptional car has received. These are reasons to be proud, but also a high bar set in terms of broadly understood quality. Therefore, we draw on our rich experience in producing reliable cars to ensure that every Avenger that leaves our plant meets the expectations of our customers, whose number has already exceeded 100,000.”
The Jeep Avenger continues to redefine standards in the fiercely competitive B-SUV segment. With the introduction of the new e-Hybrid and the upcoming 4xe model, Jeep emphasizes customer centrality with its “Freedom of Choice” ethos, offering a wide range of engines, transmissions, and soon, the possibility of all-wheel drive.
Building on these accomplishments, Jeep has introduced the new Avenger e-Hybrid, designed to be a seamless transition for customers into the 100% electric world. Equipped with an advanced 48-Volt hybrid system, the Avenger e-Hybrid delivers an experience similar to a full-hybrid vehicle.
The powertrain features a 100 HP internal combustion engine paired with a 21-kW electric motor integrated into a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This setup includes a 48-Volt belt-driven starter, ensuring a smooth transition to electric drive and further reducing CO2 emissions.
The Avenger is manufactured at the Stellantis passenger car plant in Tychy – an experienced production facility, guaranteeing the highest quality of the vehicles. The factory has been consistently developing thanks to investments adapting it to changes and challenges of the automotive industry. Technological upgrade of its production lines for the production of low and zero-emission vehicles, has made it an essential element of the Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, aiming at achieving full carbon neutrality by 2038. However, the contribution of the Tychy plant to this strategy involves not only the production of fully electric and hybrid vehicles, but also the implementation of significant investments focused on reducing energy consumption and limiting CO2 emissions. It will ultimately enable the complete energy transformation of the factory, towards full independence in the supply of heat for the production processes, being entirely green heat produced from biomass.
