Jetour South Africa has revealed that more than 2 000 retail units of its Jetour Dashing and X70 Plus models have been sold since the brand’s local launch at the end of September last year.

Globally, 2024 saw Jetour break industry records by reaching an impressive 568 387 units in annual sales, reflecting an 80.3% increase compared to the previous year. Locally, this SUV brand’s innovative designs, value for money and commitment to putting customers first, has resulted in Jetour steadily gaining traction in the local market.
“Nowadays, customers can easily test drive up to five different brands before deciding which car to buy. Naamsa reported that 2024 was a relatively lackluster year for South Africa’s new vehicle market, with passenger vehicle sales driving growth, while the bakkie and light commercial vehicle sectors continued to experience a decline.
The industry association stated that new vehicle sales are currently running 3.5% below the same period in 2023, and that it is unlikely that the market will return to pre-pandemic levels in 2025, although potential interest rate cuts in the coming year could help improve vehicle affordability across all segments.
Considering that the new vehicle market is still facing mediocre growth, achieving this level of car sales in just over three months is a clear indication of the value the Jetour brand offers to South African consumers.
