- Vivaro Electric remains UK’s best-selling e-LCV in March with 833 sold
- Combo Electric is the UK’s third-best selling e-LCV with 226 sold
- With an electric variant across its entire LCV line-up, Vauxhall remains the UK’s best-selling e-LCV manufacturer year-to-date
- Combo Electric to be manufactured in the UK at Ellesmere Port from later this year
Vauxhall remains the UK’s best-selling electric Light Commercial Vehicle (e-LCV) manufacturer, according to the latest new car and van registration figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
The Vivaro Electric and Combo Electric were the first and third best-selling e-LCVs in the UK in March, building on the momentum Vauxhall has built over the last two years in this rapidly growing market. Vauxhall was the UK’s best-selling e-LCV manufacturer in 2022 and remains the best-selling manufacturer year-to-date 2023.
The Vivaro Electric was the UK’s best-selling electric van this March, which saw the new 23-plate introduced, with 833 registered in the month, and remains the country’s best-selling e-LCV in 2023. In addition, the Combo Electric was the third-best selling e-LCV with 226 registered in March.
With such a strong performance, Vauxhall has captured 33.1% of the e-LCV market in the UK so far in 2023. The brand’s success stems from being only one of few manufacturers offering an electric version across its entire line-up, providing fleets and businesses with an electric vans to suit a wide variety of needs. Vauxhall will be an electric-only manufacturer from 2028.

The Vivaro Electric – awarded including ‘Medium Van of the Year’ at the What Van? Awards 2022 and ‘Best Medium Electric Van’ at the Driving Electric Awards 2022, as well as being crowned ‘International Van of the Year 2021’, offers impressive variability. Available with a 50kWh or a 75kWh battery, it achieves a WLTP range of up to 205 miles from a single charge and comes with a maxium payload of up to 1,226kg.
The Combo Electric – available with up to seven seats as the Combo Life Electric – was awarded ‘Best Small Electric Van’ for the second year running at the 2022 Driving Electric awards. Available in three different chassis configurations, a 50kWh battery enables a maximum range of up to 175 miles (WTLP) with 100kW rapid charging capability.
