- The web-based platform consolidates all relevant key figures of a connected vehicle fleet
- As the first fleet portal from a vehicle manufacturer, Mercedes‑Benz Fleet Pilot enables the use of selected services for other manufacturer brands, without hardware retrofitting
- With services such as Tracking & Geofencing, Trip List, Vehicle Status and Efficiency & Trends, Mercedes‑Benz Fleet Pilot supports safe and efficient processes in selected European markets
With the Mercedes‑Benz Fleet Pilot, commercial customers receive a ready-to-use solution for efficient fleet management. The web-based platform offers real-time data and consolidates all relevant fleet key figures into clear dashboards, graphics, and tables. Fleet managers gain maximum transparency, providing the foundation for process optimisation and cost reduction. Useful services such as precise location tracking, detailed route display and early maintenance alerts can be booked flexibly. Mercedes‑Benz Fleet Pilot enhances the digital customer experience, offering more safety and efficiency for every fleet.
The Mercedes‑Benz Fleet Pilot has replaced the “connect business” portal. Existing users were gradually migrated free of charge to the new portal. New customers can test Mercedes‑Benz Fleet Pilot free of charge with their own fleet vehicles until the end of the following month after registration. The fleet portal is currently available in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Belgium and the Netherlands. The expansion to additional European markets is planned.
More transparency, process and cost optimisation directly ex factory
A vehicle retrofit is not necessary to use Mercedes-Benz Fleet Pilot: The corresponding communication module is installed in Mercedes‑Benz vehicles ex factory. The fleet portal offers multi-brand compatibility, thus also serving mixed fleets. Currently available manufacturer brands and services can be viewed directly on the portal. Mercedes‑Benz Fleet Pilot is accessible via the Mercedes‑Benz website. New customers first create a Mercedes‑Benz ID and a Mercedes‑Benz company profile, after which the fleet can be connected, and users can be added. Further details can be found at Mercedes-Benz Fleet Pilot | Mercedes-Benz Connectivity Services.

Additional services for various use cases
With Mercedes‑Benz Fleet Pilot, users gain access to four extended services that can be independently activated flexibly at vehicle level. The “Tracking & Geofencing” service provides precise information about vehicle location. Customers can create customisable geofences (a virtual boundary defined on a map that triggers an alert or action when a vehicle enters or exits the specified area) for vehicle groups and gain insight into all relevant events. Access to historical data offers additional analysis options for secure and efficient fleet management.
The detailed “Trip List” further optimizes fleet usage: Trips can be recorded, routes analysed via “Snail Trail” on the map, and filter and search options can be used for targeted insights. For efficient processes, the data can also be easily exported. The “Vehicle Status” service enables proactive maintenance, increasing fleet vehicle uptime and reducing costs. If, for example, the brakes are wearing out or a service is due, the system indicates the need for action. Clear warning notes and filter functions facilitate fleet monitoring and save valuable time. With the help of the “Efficiency & Trends” service, customers receive visualisations of average fuel and electricity consumption, as well as mileage.

The further development of services and features of Mercedes‑Benz Fleet Pilot is continuous. In the future, the integration of additional Mercedes‑Benz services, such as Mercedes‑Benz Van Uptime Monitor or online service appointment booking, is anticipated.
Convenient handling with secure data transmission
The secure and responsible handling of data is crucial for the acceptance of services related to connected driving. Therefore, Mercedes‑Benz adheres to high standards in data protection and IT security according to its quality standards, to protect customer data from manipulation, loss, and unauthorized access. Two security levels provide the availability, integrity and confidentiality of the data and all systems involved.
The vehicle’s integrated communication module is equipped with a crash-proof SIM card. This allows vehicle data, such as mileage and service intervals, to be encrypted and transmitted over the mobile network to the vehicle backend. To ensure the security of all system components, continuous external audits are conducted, enabling preventive measures to improve system security. Customers are always informed about what information is collected and for what purpose and can freely decide about it.
