Celebrating its rich heritage of exploration and groundbreaking design, the iconic Jeep brand introduces the remarkable Jeep Avenger 4xe. Building upon the resounding triumph of Avenger since its launch, this newest addition marks the culmination of the esteemed Brand’s lineup. With an unwavering dedication to advancing performance and embracing electrification, Jeep proudly presents the Avenger 4xe to a renowned crowd of European journalists, epitomizing its unmatched legacy as a global leader in SUV excellence, bringing more fun, more freedom and more Avenger to the world.

Eric Laforge – Head of Jeep Brand in Enlarged Europe has commented: “Avenger is one of the biggest success stories of Jeep in Europe with more than 90.000 orders from final customers of which almost 30% full electric. In the wake of this success, Avenger 4xe will be the new benchmark in the “B- SUV” segment, offering exclusive design, top performance, and representing the full expression of Jeep legacy on all-wheel drive”.

Pioneering customer-centric innovation

The introduction of the Jeep Avenger 4xe signifies more than just the expansion of the brand’s lineup—it symbolizes a strategic response to the evolving demands of customers. Rooted in a customer-centric ethos, Jeep prioritizes listening to and addressing the needs of its clientele. Through meticulous attention to detail, the Avenger 4xe seamlessly integrates the timeless appeal of the Jeep brand’s design and functionality with cutting-edge technological advancements, providing an unparalleled driving experience.

Crafted to cater to a diverse spectrum of individuals, the Jeep Avenger 4xe appeals to those who are “open air” enthusiasts, and those who love and practice sports, 4×4 owners who wouldn’t give up the additional traction and safety provided by all-wheel-drive, urban customers who need a compact car during the working week, but love outdoor escapades in the weekend, and also people who are not “into offroad”, but want to stand out from the crowd.

More fun

The unrivaled legacy of Jeep’s legendary capability takes a monumental leap forward with the introduction of a groundbreaking powertrain in the Jeep Avenger 4xe, setting a new standard of fun and lightweight design.

This innovative powertrain seamlessly merges the advantages of a hybrid system with cutting-edge AWD technology. At its core lies a dynamic 48V hybrid system, featuring a robust 1.2-liter turbo engine generating 136 hp, augmented by dual 21Kw electric motors positioned both at the front and rear of the vehicle . Paired with an automatic 6-speed  dual-clutch transmission, to drive in full electric mode at low speeds thanks to its integrated electric engine, this configuration not only amplifies the fun performance that Jeep enthusiasts crave but also introduces a heightened level of excitement through the  E-Boost function in Sport Mode.

Extra capability under the hood empowers the 4xe to deliver excellent performance: achieving a maximum power output of 136 hp and reaching speeds of up to 194 km/h speed (+10 km/h compared to the e-hybrid model), with an acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 9.5 seconds. The 4xe powertrain sets a new benchmark in the Avenger hybrid line-up, offering the highest power and torque output, with 36 hp and 25 Nm more than the e-Hybrid FWD version. This results in quicker acceleration and a higher top speed, while maintaining a minimal increase in CO2 emissions. This robust performance effortlessly marries power with eco-consciousness, and thanks to the coupling of all-wheel drive with hybrid technology makes it possible to reduce consumption and emissions.

The features and performance of the powertrain elevate the capabilities of the Avenger 4xe to new heights. Even considering that the front-wheel-drive model was already unrivaled in its class, enhancements include improved off-road angles, a 10 mm increase in ground clearance, and the ability to ford up to 400 mm of water. Additionally, all-wheel-drive capability is readily available. In essence, the Jeep Avenger 4xe epitomizes a harmonious fusion of power, agility, and efficiency, catapulting the Brand into a new era of automotive excellence and enjoyment.

More freedom

As the epitome of Jeep’s core value of freedom, the Avenger 4xe marks the culmination of the Jeep brand’s unwavering commitment to providing customers with the freedom of choice. By offering a diverse lineup and ensuring each journey is tailored to perfection, Jeep empowers adventurers to embrace the thrill of exploration with unparalleled confidence. Because the Avenger 4xe – like all Jeeps – gives you the freedom to go to places that others can’t reach.

The exceptional powertrain, combined with the 22.7:1 reducer placed on the rear axle, ensures an extraordinary rear wheel torque of 1,900 Nm, providing unparalleled traction. This capability allows for conquering slopes of near to 40% on challenging terrains such as gravel  and up to 20% when there’s no grip on the front axle.

The Jeep Avenger 4xe is equipped with a smart all-wheel-drive system, ensuring that 4×4 capability is always available when required. At low speeds (between -30 and +30 km/h), traction on all four wheels is permanent, with a 50:50 split. During medium speeds (30 to 90 km/h), the rear axle drive activates only upon demand. It’s noteworthy that even with zero Nm of torque, the rear e-motor remains connected to the rear wheels for sudden needs. When all-wheel-drive is engaged, torque distribution is based on actual demand, with a potential split of up to 50:50. At high speeds (above 90 km/h), forward drive becomes permanent, and the rear e-motor disengages from the axle to minimize fuel consumption.

The Selec-Terrain function on the Avenger 4xe empowers the driver to select the appropriate mode for any situation: Auto, which offers all-wheel-drive only upon demand, ideal for everyday driving with minimal CO2 emissions; Snow, providing enhanced stability control and smart all-wheel-drive for safe winter road travel; Sand&Mud, tailored for uneven terrains with specific gearshift ratios and traction control; and Sport, maximizing the potent power and torque delivery of the 4xe system, further enhanced by e-boost on the rear wheels.

An exclusive feature of the Avenger 4xe is its innovative Multilink rear suspension scheme, developed and pioneered by Jeep. This feature, typically found on bigger vehicles enhances articulation on the rear axle, resulting in increased comfort on rough roads.

More Avenger

The Jeep Avenger 4xe emerges as a true embodiment of the brand’s iconic “Avenger” spirit, blending timeless tradition with a flair for innovation that permeates every aspect of the vehicle. From its distinctive exterior design to its meticulously crafted interiors, the Avenger 4xe stands as a testament to Jeep’s relentless pursuit of excellence, offering a unique drive unlike any other. It in fact takes functional design to the next level with dedicated exteriors crafted to not only stand out but also to better cater to off-road requirements. This includes features like the rear tow-hook, standard roof bars to enhance load capacity for carrying equipment such as kayaks and rafting gear, and seats made from a twice-as-durable material that is completely waterproof. Additionally, these seats are protected by an easy-to-clean solution that guards against stains and mud.

In the design of the Avenger 4xe, Jeep prioritized the vehicle’s protection. At first glance, the refreshed exterior elements immediately catch the eye. This includes redesigned fog lights positioned slightly higher and outward, thereby enhancing the vehicle’s nighttime visibility. The roof rails and rear tow hook are also meticulously tailored to complement the vehicle’s rugged persona.

Front and rear bumpers are made in mold-in-color material with anti-scratch finishing and at the front, the new bumper exposes the wheel, offering safety and solidity in rocky terrain, and features a higher and more prominent cladding protecting the number plate from impact. Additionally, vital components such as the front lower grill and the radar are protected by robust bumpered, ensuring durability and longevity in rugged environments. The  Jeep Avenger 4xe also features the new optional Hood Sticker, designed to be as functional as the Jeep brand features has always been. Indeed, the sticker is made of matt material, so as to prevent unpleasant reflections from the sun while driving.

Step inside, and the Avenger 4xe continues to impress with a host of innovative features designed to elevate comfort and convenience. The cabin welcomes occupants with new seats crafted from unconventional, completely washable, and durable materials, two times more resistant than conventional ones, therefore perfect for adventurers who embrace the great outdoors. Meanwhile, standard M+S tyres provide reliable traction in various weather conditions, with optional All Terrain 3PMSF tyres available for enhanced grip on challenging terrain. The rims will also be black, to ensure aesthetic quality over time regardless of the terrain and driving contexts in which it is used.

These innovative enhancements not only elevate the Avenger 4xe’s aesthetic appeal but also bolster its already impressive capability. With improved off-road angles boasting a 22° approach, 21° breakover, and 35° departure angles, along with a heightened ground clearance of 210mm, the Avenger 4xe redefines the boundaries of adventure. Moreover, with a water fording capability increased to 400mm, the Avenger 4xe empowers drivers to conquer even the most challenging terrains with confidence.

Excitement is building as orders for the Jeep Avenger 4xe are slated to open by Q4 of 2024.
