- Théo Pourchaire joins the Stellantis Motorsport ‘Young Driver’ programme
- Following a dedicated Formula E test session for rookies in February, the French driver will now undertake a series of private tests with DS Performance
- Théo Pourchaire is already involved in endurance racing with Peugeot Sport as test driver, and will now join the competition division of DS Automobiles in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship
Théo Pourchaire has joined DS Performance and the world of Formula E as part of the ‘Young Driver’ programme launched by Stellantis Motorsport in 2024.
After taking part in the rookie test held on 13 February 2025, ahead of this year’s Jeddah E-Prix, the 2023 Formula 2 World Champion will now continue his adventure in Formula E with DS Automobiles: the winner of two double titles, as well as the record-holder when it comes to podiums.
The DS Performance programme dedicated to Théo Pourchaire will be based around three test days with the DS E-TENSE FE21 (originally driven by Jean-Eric Vergne and Antonio Felix Da Costa from 2021 to 2022) and 10 race simulator sessions. Following these tests in the Gen2 car, backed up by expert engineers and mechanics in the all-electric series, Théo Pourchaire will take the wheel of a Gen3 Evo car from the Stellantis group once more.
Théo Pourchaire is a rising star of motorsport, having already enjoyed a remarkable career at the age of just 21. He will now bring all his experience and participate in the development of the DS single-seaters alongside the regular DS Performance team.
Théo Pourchaire:
“I’m delighted to form part of this Stellantis Motorsport programme and continue my adventure in Formula E with DS Performance. It’s really motivating to be surrounded by such an experienced team like this one and I think we can do some very good things together! Formula E is a championship at a very high level, and maybe there will be an opportunity for me in the future.”
Eugenio Franzetti, DS Performance director:
“We’re very happy and very proud to have Théo Pourchaire as part of our programme. Given his career and achievements to date, I think he’ll get to grips with how to drive our Formula E car very quickly. His experience will bring a lot to us, and I can’t wait to see him behind the wheel of a Gen3 Evo car once more!”
