Lamborghini Squadra Corse has unveiled the calendar for the fifth edition of the Essenza SCV12 programme, the purest track experience, feature four stops at some of the most iconic circuits across Europe.
First revealed to the public in 2020, the 830 hp Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 track-only machine will be available to customers for dedicated ‘arrive and drive’ sessions between June and November, complete with technical and tailored driver coaching from the Sant’Agata Bolognese firm and its factory drivers.
Two of the four stops on the calendar take place alongside official test sessions of Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s one-make championship, Super Trofeo Europe: the first event of the year at Monza on the weekend of April 29-30 and then the penultimate event at Barcelona between October 1-2. The programme will visit Hungarian circuit of Balaton Park on the weekend of July 15-16, with the final event taking place on the weekend of the traditional season-closing Lamborghini World Finals at Misano World Circuit between November 8-9.
During each two-day events, assistance will be provided by the Squadra Corse technical team as part of the Essenza SCV12 programme. Customers will also benefit of track time as well as bespoke driver coaching from Lamborghini Squadra Corse factory driver Marco Mapelli. The factory drivers will share their extensive know-how from years of participation at the highest level of motorsport in some of the most prestigious championships at the wheel of a Lamborghini.
The Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 was presented in 2021 and is a hypercar dedicated exclusively to the track, designed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, designed by the Lamborghini Centro Stile and built in a limited series of units. Featuring sophisticated aerodynamics, derived from racing experience, it is powered by a naturally aspirated V12 engine with a power of 830 hp and a maximum downforce of 1,200 kg at a speed of 250 km/h. It also features a load bearing, six-speed X-trac gearbox, which is placed transversely on the rear axle and combined with rear-wheel drive.
