Volkswagen led the German passenger cars which were registered for the first time in Q4 2022 according to the Transport & Infrastructure Statistics Q4 2022 report by Statistics Botswana.
According to the Department of Road & Transport Safety, 988 VW passenger cars were registered in Q4 2022, followed closely by Audi with 263 units.
Closely behind Audi, Mercedes Benz sold 251 units whilst BMW sold 228 units. The report does not specify which models were specifically sold but the bulk of the vehicles were used cars, which are mostly imports from Japan.
