  • Transporter dropside with double cab: six-seater with 4.2 m2 load platform as the perfect commercial vehicle for construction and forestry
  • New panel van Plus: this five- or six-seater VW Transporter was designed for combined passenger and goods transport
  • New panel van with L-shaped partition: In addition to up to five people, particularly long items of equipment can be safely stowed here for transport to field assignments

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has further expanded the range of the new Transporter generation. Following the classic panel van (goods transport) and the Kombi (passenger transport), three further variants are now available on the market: the Transporter dropside with double cab and large load platform, the Transporter panel van Plus for combined goods and passenger transport and the panel van based on the panel van Plus with L-shaped partition in the load compartment. These models can also be configured with turbodiesel or electric drive, and the panel vans additionally with plug-in hybrid drive. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles offers the Transporter with a 5-year warranty in Germany.

Dropside with double cab: For decades, this has been a sought-after specialist in the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles range: the dropside with double cab. As the Transporter has hardly any competitors in this version, this model is extremely successful, especially in the construction industry, including road construction, as well as in forestry and horticulture. The front-wheel drive variants use either an 81 kW / 110 hp or 110 kW / 150 hp turbodiesel engine (TDI). Due to its often specific off-road applications, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is optionally offering the new Transporter dropside with crew cab with 4MOTION all-wheel drive.

A 110 kW / 150 hp turbodiesel engine (TDI) with 8-speed automatic transmission is always used here. For the first time, the dropside can also be ordered with an electric drive in the output levels 100 kW/136 PS, 160 kW/218 PS or 210 kW/286 PS. The high-voltage battery of the always rear-wheel drive e-Transporter has a capacity of 64 kWh (net); due to the design principle, all e-Transporter models are equipped with a one-speed automatic gearbox.

Load platform with an area of 4.2 square metres: As a dropside with double cab, the Transporter is always delivered with a long wheelbase, a double front passenger seat bench and a 3-seat bench in the second row. The 2,169 mm long and 1,945 mm wide load platform extends behind the four-door double cab; its load sill is between 956 and 980 mm high and it is equipped with fold-down aluminium side walls. The payload is up to 1,073 kg and the towing capacity up to 2,500kg. For special applications, it is also possible to order the vehicle without the load platform and instead mount an individual body on the chassis.

Panel van Plus: The panel van Plus is an addition to the range for combined goods and passenger transport. This version always has a 3-seat bench in the second row. Here, too, the first row of seats can be ordered with one or two front passenger seats – so that up to six seats, including the driver seat, are available. There is a plastic partition with a window between the passenger compartment and load compartment. The Transporter panel van Plus version is equipped with a sliding door on the passenger side; the sliding door on the driver side can be ordered as an option. The sliding doors are equipped with windows.

Panel van with L-shaped partition: For the first time in the offer for combined freight and passenger transport is the panel van with L-partition wall. It has an L-shaped metal partition, which separates the front seats and the two individual seats in the second row from the load compartment. On the driver side, the load compartment extends up to the first row of seats; this allows particularly long objects to be transported on the driver side in the panel van with L-shaped partition (it also protects the second row of seats at the side). This panel van is also optionally available with two passenger seats in the first row. The panel van with L-shaped partition always has two sliding doors. The sliding door on the passenger side is equipped with a window as standard.

Optionally with enhanced equipment and with plug-in hybrid drive: As an option, the panel vans can be configured with the PanAmericana all-terrain equipment. In addition to interior enhancement, the PanAmericana versions feature particularly robust panelling on the exterior. The Transporter panel van Plus is also available in a stylish Edition version, which is customised with 17-inch alloy wheels and a black-painted roof, among other things. The panel vans offer a wide range of drive systems: they are not only offered as turbodiesel and electric models (like the dropside with double cab), but also with a plug-in hybrid front-wheel drive (171 kW/232 PS system power) including CVT automatic transmission.
