- Readers of the German magazine AUTO Straßenverkehr have crowned the Alfa Romeo Tonale the most captivating vehicle in its category.
- The design of the Alfa Romeo SUV ranked first two different categories.
The unmistakable style of the Alfa Romeo Tonale does not go unnoticed. This has been reconfirmed by the readers of German magazine AUTO Straßenverkehr, whose votes won it two categories at the “Family Car of the Year” Awards, in the €35-45,000 price range. With 12.2% of the votes, the Tonale’s design took first place in the import vehicle category as well as in the overall rankings, with 7.3% of the total votes to beat its many German competitors.
“The decision by readers of AUTO Straßenverkehr to acknowledge the Tonale’s design is a testament to the success of a winning formula that combines appealing design and extraordinary practicality of use for families,” commented Stefan Cerchez, Editor-in-Chief of AUTO Straßenverkehr. To be eligible for the “Family Car of the Year” Awards, vehicles had to be advantageous for families; for example, one criterion was a trunk volume of at least 400 liters.
Niccolò Biagioli, Head of the Alfa Romeo brand in Germany stated: “Our product portfolio is primarily targeted at customers with an innate spirit of sportiness, who love technology, innovation, and Italian design. I am also delighted to see how the Alfa Romeo Tonale is actually appreciated by a much broader audience, especially families, thanks to its extraordinary practicality.
The Alfa Romeo Tonale is the first car in the brand’s history to introduce electrification.
