Stellantis South Africa was out in full force at the annual Festival of Motoring at the country’s iconic Kyalami Raceway over the weekend, with all seven of the brands it has in the country well represented.
“We have an incredible range of vehicles that fits all needs, whether you’re a student, micro-entrepreneur, or a CEO,” says Stellantis SA managing director Mike Whitfield. “The Festival of Motoring truly is a wonderful opportunity to remind the discerning South African motoring public of what this company is all about, the incredible broad range of vehicles that it has, and the promise of guaranteed mobility that underpins the purchase of every vehicle that we sell.”
The seventh edition of the increasingly popular Festival of Motoring was held under the theme “Celebrating Car Culture” and attracted 29,041 visitors from 22 countries. They experienced the latest models, the most aspirational vehicles, as well as super cars and high-performance vehicles from an event that has grown from strength to strength since its inception and has become a firm favourite on the country’s motoring calendar.
“The event truly cuts across age and gender gaps, uniting motoring enthusiasts and consumers in celebrating cars. Our brands gave them plenty to be excited about with 1,122 test drives in our products,” says Whitfield.
Those test drives were spread across handling drives in the exciting Citroën C3 and recently launched Citroën C3 Aircross SUV on the track, as well as 4×4 experiential drives with an advanced driver in the Peugeot Landtrek bakkie, the Jeep® Grand Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator.
Stellantis’ brand experts at the festival engaged with so many visitors eager to learn more about the FIAT, Alfa Romeo, PEUGEOT, Citroën, Opel, Abarth, and Jeep brands and generated successful leads that will certainly contribute to sales.
“Stellantis remains one of the largest importers of vehicles in the country, with exceptional brands that cater for any mobility need,” says Whitfield. “The Festival of Motoring is a wonderful opportunity to remind our customers about that and continues our journey as a major player in the South African motor industry.”
The company’s focus on customer satisfaction is underpinned by Stellantis’ Customer Care Pledge, which includes a 5-year/100,000km warranty, a mobility guarantee for vehicles under warranty that require more than 48 hours at the dealership or 30 days at an approved repairer, and optional security detail for roadside assistance. These benefits ensure peace of mind and an exceptional ownership experience.
