- Dacia sold 676,340 vehicles in 2024, up 2.7% growth on 2023. The brand has sold more than 9 million vehicles since 2004.
- Dacia achieved record-breaking market shares, accounting for:
- 3.9% of PC+LCV sales in Europe (up 0.1 point on 2023)
- 4.5% of PC sales in Europe (up 0.1 point on 2023)
- The brand also retained its place on the European podium for sales to retail customers, its core customer base, with a market share of 8.2% (-0.1 point on 2023) – Provisional data
- This achievement was driven by a robust product plan featuring four key models:
- Sandero: 309,392 units sold, up +14,5 % on 2023; Europe’s best-selling vehicle across all channels and the best-selling vehicle in the European retail market since 2017.
- Duster (generations 2 & 3): 215,024 units sold, up +7,3 % on 2023; the best-selling SUV in the retail market since 2018 and the 2nd vehicle sold to retail customers in Europe behind Sandero.
- Jogger: 96,440 units sold, up +2,4% on 2023; maintains its podium position in the non-SUV C segment vehicle in the European retail market.
- Spring: 22,884 units sold, -63% below 2023. Sales fell significantly in 2024, mainly due to the reduction in government grants. The arrival of the new version in showrooms in September led to an increase in orders over the last three months.
- Dacia continues to redefine the essentials, a unique positioning supported by its customers, as demonstrated by the brand’s market-leading customer acquisition and retention rates.
- Dacia is focusing on the electrification of its range by expanding its range of hybrid powertrains: HYBRID 140 on Jogger then Duster and HYBRID 155 on Bigster, which is the first model within the Renault Group to benefit from this new powertrain.
- Dacia’s momentum will continue in 2025, notably with:
- The launch of Bigster, which is now available to order and will arrive in dealerships in spring 2025
- Its involvement in rally-raid and the Dakar Rally
Dacia sold 676,340 vehicles in 2024, registering 2.7% growth compared with 2023. The year 2024 also marks a milestone in the history of Dacia, which has passed the symbolic mark of 9 million vehicles sold since 2004.
Dacia is outperforming the market, up 1.6% in 2024 compared with 2023.
The brand’s sales performance confirms the relevance of its positioning based on the best value for money. In Europe, Dacia recorded:
- A record market share in PC+LCV at 3.9%, up 0.1 point on 2023. The brand has moved up one place in the rankings compared with 2023 and is now in the European Top 10.
- A record PC market share of 4.5%, up 0.1 point on 2023. This puts the brand one place higher than in 2023, in 9th position.
By 2024, Dacia will have achieved an 8.2% share of PC sales to retail customers (8.3% in 2023), consolidating its place on the European podium for the fourth year running.
These good results were driven by strong performances in a number of European countries, which recorded an all-time high in terms of PC market share: 4.2% in Austria (up 0.2 point on 2023), 5.2% in Belgium-Luxembourg (up 1 point on 2023), 2.5% in Germany (up 0.1 point on 2023), 6.2% in Italy (up 0.8 point on 2023), and 7.7% in Portugal (up 0.3 point on 2023).
Some countries recorded very strong growth in volumes, with increases of over 10%: +13.2% in Austria, +15.4% in Belgium-Luxembourg, +20.2% in the Czech Republic, +13.1% in Italy, +16.3% in Morocco, +11.9% in Poland, +10.7% in Portugal and +12.4% in Spain.
A strong product plan featuring four key models
Sandero, with 309,392 sales in 2024 (up 14.5% on 2023), is the best-selling vehicle in Europe across all channels, and the best-selling vehicle in the European retail market since 2017. Sandero is the first Dacia vehicle to sell more than 300,000 units in a single year.
Duster (generations 2 & 3) has retained its position as the best-selling SUV for retail customers in Europe since 2018. Duster is also the 2nd vehicle sold to retail customers in Europe. With 215,024 units sold in 2024 (up 7.3% on 2023) in all countries, Duster has exceeded 2.5 million units on the road since its launch in 2010. The new generation, launched in May 2024, will generate 29% of its sales from hybrid powertrains.
Spring‘s sales fell significantly in 2024 (-63% vs. 2023), mainly as a result of the reduction in government grants. However, the arrival of the new version in showrooms in September led to an increase in orders over the last three months.
As for Jogger, it sold 96,440 vehicles in 2024 (up 2.4% on 2023), maintaining its podium position in the non-SUV C-segment vehicle in the European retail market. Hybrid powertrains accounted for 29% of sales.
Also contributing to Dacia’s appeal is its ability to win over and retain its customers. Within the ‘Europe 5’, comprising of France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Spain, six in 10 Dacia customers were not previously Renault Group customers (62.3%). Eight in 10 Dacia customers go on to buy another Renault Group vehicle (81.1%).
Proof of the dynamism of the Dacia range, the models launched in 2024 are chosen by 78% of customers with the highest level of equipment, respectively 80% for Duster and 67% for Spring.
To strengthen customer loyalty, the Dacia Zen contract is now included in the Essential and Essential+ service packages and covers all vehicles in the range with a 12-month or 30,000 km warranty, renewable up to 7 years or 150,000 km. Dacia Zen is now available in Spain, Italy, France, Germany, UK, Portugal and Poland. Other countries will be offering this service in the near future.
Ooutlook for 2025
In 2025, Dacia is embarking on an ambitious strategic phase with several major challenges.
With Bigster, Dacia is staying true to its values by offering the best value for money in the C-SUV segment. A first on the market, Bigster offers all the equipment expected by customers in the C-SUV segment, always at a Dacia price (from €24,990 for petrol versions and €29,700 for hybrid versions***), true to the brand’s ‘best value for money’ positioning. Bigster has been on sale since 9 January 2025 and will be available through the sales network from spring 2025.
Dacia will also be focusing on the electrification of its range by offering more hybrid powertrains, while remaining true to its strategy of offering simple, affordable vehicles.
With its involvement in the Dakar Rally and the World Rally-Raid Championship, the brand will continue in 2025 to express its robust & outdoor credentials in the most extreme terrain.
“In 2024, Dacia once again demonstrated its ability to combine performance, robustness and accessibility. Our results testify to customers’ growing confidence in our models and confirm that we are pursuing our strategy.”
