Ram Trucks is presenting the new Ram 1500 in Europe today, with key enhancements that make it the no-compromise benchmark in durability, advanced technology, safety and efficiency. The new pickup truck offers customers more standard power, more performance and more fuel efficiency with the new 3.0-liter Hurricane engine family.

One of the highlights of the new Ram 1500 is its payload of 1 tonne and its towing capacity, maintained at the maximum level in Europe, giving customers the possibility to tow up to 3.5 tonnes, whether for leisure or work purposes. The new model is also the most technologically advanced Ram 1500 ever, offering features such as the Advanced Uconnect 5 system, the largest touchscreen display in its class with 14.5 inches, a class-exclusive 10.25-inch passenger screen and a new dual wireless phone charging pad. More than 100 safety and security features are available, including Advanced Brake Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Drowsy Driver Detection, Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus, Pedestrian Emergency Braking and more.

“The development of Ram products is closely aligned with the changing needs of customers in Europe. They are independent thinkers seeking the ‘Ram Life’— a truck-driven lifestyle that embodies the American spirit while providing exceptional comfort, convenience, and capability,” states Eric Laforge, Head of Ram, Dodge, and Jeep for Enlarged Europe. “As the only brand solely dedicated to trucks, Ram addresses these needs with the new Ram 1500, which boasts numerous advancements centered around our five pillars: efficiency, capability, technology, comfort and premiumness.”

Ram is positioned as the third-highest volume brand in the United States led by the Ram 1500 and has outperformed all brands in the 2024 J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study, remaining the only truck-exclusive brand to achieve this distinction. In Europe, Ram has played a key role in shaping the full-size pickup market. Out of a total of 8,000 units, Ram leads the segment, accounting for 3 out of 4 pickups sold.

The Brand is implementing several actions for global growth, including further expansion of its core products worldwide and greater focus on commercial business and customers. In Europe, Ram was the first brand to manage the markets through official importers and continues to evolve its business model. It has now a stronger local organization, with a dedicated team to Europe, operating in a more efficient structure, including a wide territory coverage better distributed among importers and an improved dealer selection focused on specialized partners.

This streamlined model is integrated with a new customer journey with new standards for sales and aftersales processes. Through its official network in Europe, Ram also offers exclusive services, such as warranty packages, official spare parts and accessories, and the all-new connectivity package I-DUV, designed specifically for the European Ram trucks. Complimentary for 12 months, it features localization, geofencing, stolen vehicle alert, 24/7 emergency assistance and driving behavior tracking.

New Hurricane engine family: superior performance and efficiency
The new Ram 1500 offers the new 3.0-liter Hurricane and 3.0-liter Hurricane High Output as the next evolution of ICE technology that brings more standard power, more performance and improved fuel efficiency.

This engine family can deliver fuel economy and fewer emissions while generating more horsepower and torque than other naturally aspirated V-8 and boosted six-cylinder engines in the segment.

The 3.0-liter Hurricane delivers 420 hp and 636 Nm of torque, focusing on efficiency with competitive power. For customers who want a focus on performance without compromising on efficiency, the 3.0-liter Hurricane High Output is rated at 540 hp and 706 Nm of torque.

The Hurricane engine is built with a deep-skirt cast-aluminum block with a structural aluminum alloy oil pan. It is the toughest Ram engine yet, featuring cross-bolted steel main bearing caps that secure the forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods. The engine block is deck-plate honed during manufacturing to optimize the cylinder bore shape, helping to improve fuel efficiency.

State-of-the-art technologies were employed to develop an engine with lower emissions and high power, including:

  • Two low-inertia, high-flow turbochargers, optimized to feed three cylinders each, enhancing throttle response and overall performance;
  • plasma transfer wire arc (spray bore) coating in the cylinder bores for an ultra-thin, low-friction wear surface;
  • high-pressure (5,075 psi/350 bar) direct fuel injection;
  • engine-mounted water-to-air charge cooler with a dedicated cooling circuit.

The new Ram 1500 lineup also includes a third engine option, the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 with eTorque mild hybrid technology, delivering 305 hp and 364 Nm of torque. All three engine options offered are paired with a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission that optimizes smooth shift changes for fuel economy, performance and drivability.

Unmatched capability: maximum towing, off-road performance and class-exclusive features
Even with the engine change, the towing capacity of the new Ram 1500 remains at the maximum level in Europe, 3.5 tonnes. The towing system helps drivers feel more confident hooking up, backing up and staying in control of the road. New features include the Trailer Hitch Assist, which allows the vehicle to steer itself into alignment with the trailer tongue while the driver maintains control of the brakes and throttle, and the Trailer Reverse Guidance with Dynamic Gridlines, which, when driving in reverse, displays on the touchscreen the trailer’s predicted trajectory highlighted by dynamic gridlines.

The 1-tonne payload of the new Ram 1500 makes it easy to haul equipment and materials. Customers can take advantage of the cargo area of 2.2 square meters, one of the largest in the category. Access to the truck’s bed is quick with the available Multifunction Tailgate, which consists of dual side-hinged doors with a 60/40 split that gives plenty of space for loading and unloading. There is also an optional power release tailgate, which automatically opens and closes the tailgate via the key fob, a button in the overhead consoled or the side of the tailgate. A class-exclusive feature is the RamBox® Cargo Management System, an additional exterior storage space with illumination and a 115-volt power outlet. Customers can also power items such as lights, televisions, fans and tools using two covered outlets in the bed of the truck, thanks to a 2-kW on-board power inverter.

Beyond its robust hauling capabilities, the new Ram 1500 offers customers five selectable drive modes to optimize performance: Normal, Tow, Snow, Sport and Off-Road. The vehicle is also engineered to conquer the toughest terrains. Its specialized angle design ensures the truck’s off-road performance, in addition to the 4WD system, with part-time, on-demand and full-time transfer cases, offering driver convenience and enhanced traction when needed.

The new Ram 1500 family includes two dedicated trims for off-road lovers. With a rugged appeal, the Ram 1500 Rebel features enhanced off-road approach, departure and breakover angles courtesy of a 1-inch raised ride height (four-corner air suspension is available) and 33-inch all-terrain tires. Other unique features on Rebel include Select-Speed Control, skid plates and Bilstein front and rear shocks.

The all-new Ram 1500 RHO is the next evolution of off-road capability. With an aggressive look, it boasts features such as high-performance shock absorbers, more than 40% additional rear wheel travel when compared to the rest of the lineup, 2-inch raised ride height, and 35-inch tires.

Next-level technology: advanced connectivity and best-in-class screen coverage
The updated model is the most technologically advanced Ram 1500 ever, granting leading-edge features such as the advanced Uconnect 5 system. The system is enhanced by an advanced electrical architecture, featuring operating speeds that are five times faster than the previous generation with more memory give and lightning-quick response to touchscreen input in as little as .05 seconds.

The new Ram 1500 is best-in-class in terms of screen coverage, with over 50 inches of combined available digital displays and over 24 inches of combined available touchscreen displays. It comes with either an improved 12-inch or new 14.5-inch touchscreen display with split-screen capability to operate two applications at the same time. Both touchscreens use Full Array Local Dimming technology, enabling a higher contrast ratio than a conventional edge lit screen.

A 10.25-inch passenger screen is a segment-first, offering functions of co-pilot, entertainment and view of the exterior vehicle cameras, while the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster shows nearly two dozen menus.

In addition, a fully digital rearview mirror is available with, which provides real-time images from a rear-facing camera, without obstructions from the D-pillars or rear seats. It reverts to a traditional reflective mirror by toggling the switch underneath.

The new Ram 1500 also features a full-color Head Up Display (HUD) up to 10 inches that is configurable to display several different content areas at once, including Lane Departure, Lane Keep Assist, adaptive cruise control, turn-by-turn navigation, current speed, current gear and speed limit. All HUD settings can be personalized and saved within the driver profiles.

The available class-exclusive dual wireless phone charging enhances functionality for front passengers, while the connectivity ports are designed for easy recognition.

In terms of safety and security, the new Ram 1500 offers more than 100 features. Standard functions include ParkView rear backup camera with dynamic grid lines, electronic stability control (ESC) with electronic roll mitigation and six standard air bags. Available features encompass Blind-spot Monitoring, Adaptive Cruise Control, Ready Alert Braking and Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning-Plus.

Additional safety and security features include a 360-degree Surround View camera, Drowsiness Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, Rearview Mirror Camera with CHMSL light, cargo box illumination, front parking sensors, auto high-beams and cornering function fog lamps, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

Elevated experience: driving comfort, premium materials and refined design
The new Ram 1500 achieves class-leading ride and handling through a double wishbone front suspension and a five-link solid rear axle, along with an optional, segment-exclusive, active-level, four-corner air suspension. The air suspension system can be automatically or manually controlled via console or key fob controls. Five height adjustments can be set up for better off-road driving or for easier entry, exit, cargo loading and drag reduction on highways.

With improved acoustics, noise reduction, reclining rear seats and best-in-class available rear legroom, life on board the Ram 1500 gets easier and more comfortable. The interior design team focused on premium textures, colors, and materials to deliver a superior level of durability and premiumness. Authentic and premium materials include carbon-fiber, metal and leather elements.

The exterior design was reimagined with a contemporary look that conveys the bold presence Ram is known for. A new, larger, forward-leaning grille signifies a heroic presence while taking boldness to another level. The iconic Ram grille is available in seven unique interpretations as dictated by the particular trim to cater to a wide variety of buyers. A new, prominent R-A-M badge has been lifted to increase the vehicle’s presence and make a proud statement.

At the top of the lineup, the Tungsten trim gives customers an ultra-premium experience with 24-way massage front seats and the most powerful available audio system in its class, a 1,228-watt Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system with 23 speakers, including a high-performing 12-inch subwoofer and two one-inch titanium dome tweeters. Other features that give the trim a high-quality feel include a Tungsten badge on the center console with inlaid metal lettering and diamond knurling, which also displays the vehicle identification number, 22-inch aluminum wheels, a body-color front fascia and body-color bumpers.

In Europe, the new Ram 1500 will be available first in the Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Limited  Tungsten and RHO trims, with suggested prices starting at € 62.000 (DETAX).  The new Ram 1500 already available for orders at dealership.
