We implement programs to develop female human resources and leadership, and support the balance between work and childcare or nursing care. As a result of these efforts, the ratio of women in managerial positions globally has risen from 6.7% in 2008 to 15.5% as of March 2023. In Japan, 10.4% of Nissan’s managers are women, higher than the 5.1% average for companies with more than 1,000 employees in the manufacturing industry*.
Going forward, Nissan will continue to promote communication among employees and improve engagement through round-table discussions, workshops, and other means. We will also promote diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to create a workplace where the individuality and power of each individual is respected and where everyone can expand their potential.
