Kia Corporation today announced total global sales for June 2024 of 267,536 units, a 3.9 percent decrease year over year.
Kia SUV models led the company’s sales, with the Sportage SUV selling 48,920 units globally in June. The Seltos and Sorento SUVs backed up this strong market performance, with the Seltos SUV recording global sales of 27,223 units. The Sorento SUV sold 23,658 units globally.
Sales outside of Korea
Outside of Korea sales were down 1.7 percent compared with the same period in 2023, to 223,033 units (excluding special purpose vehicles).
The Sportage SUV led the brand’s performance in markets outside of Korea, with 43,105 sales. It was followed by the Seltos SUV, which sold 21,824 units, and the K3 (also known as Forte in some markets), with sales of 20,315 units.

In the Korean market, Kia sold 44,003 units, a 13.7 percent decrease compared with the same period last year.
The Carnival MPV led the company’s passenger vehicle sales in its home market, recording 8,097 sales. The Sorento and Sportage SUVs followed, with 7,307 and 5,815 units respectively.
Kia will continue to build its sales momentum with the launch of the new new all-electric EV3 in the second half of 2024.
