More than 14,000 readers of the trade magazine auto motor und sport voted and the result is clear: the Jeep Avenger was named “Best Design Novelty of the Year 20 23” by a clear margin.
The Avenger wins with 53 percent and thus secures the coveted “autonis” design award in the “Small SUV/Off-Road Vehicle” category. The “autonis” prize offers a choice of the most important new releases of the past twelve months. In total, readers were able to choose from 105 passenger car models in eleven classes.
“The Jeep Avenger was only launched this year and is already a star: With its all-electric drive and cool design, it inspires customers and is becoming an absolute bestseller. The ‘autonis’ price for our compact city electric car underlines that this is exactly what is well received by readers and customers,” says Luigi Saia, head of Jeep Germany.
The Jeep Avenger
The Jeep Avenger is a compact SUV with a length of around four meters positioned in the fast-growing B-SUV segment, the second largest European segment in terms of volume. It appeals to active people who are looking for an SUV with compact dimensions but still plenty of space and storage options. Designed and built as a Jeep from day one, the Avenger combines Jeep DNA in a compact SUV with a unique combination of capabilities, style, functionality and technology.
With an electric range of up to 400 kilometres in the combined WLTP cycle* and more than 550 kilometres in the WLTP city cycle; an electric powertrain combines a new 400-volt electric motor with 115 kW (156 hp) and 260 Newton metres of torque with a 54 kWh battery, which is also new.
The launch of the Jeep Avenger in Europe marks the beginning of the next phase of the Jeep brand’s electrification, which will produce four all-electric models by 2025. By the end of 2030, all new Jeep brand cars sold in Europe will be all-electric.
