In 2024, the company posted record revenue, reached a major production milestone and completed a landmark IPO. These efforts contributed to higher brand influence and growth potential.

This record brand valuation is a direct result of the dedication of our hard-working teams worldwide and the vision of our Executive Chair. I’m grateful to our service-oriented dealers who embody our values every day, and proud of how our Korean operational excellence has enabled successful global expansion. From our award-winning EVs to our manufacturing innovations, we’re building a brand that customers trust and value. As we continue our commitment to ‘Progress for Humanity,’ it’s a great time to be with Hyundai.

Hyundai Motor Company is continuing to introduce vehicles that meet diverse customer needs, from an expanding range of EV lineup to hybrid models. Through region-tailored marketing efforts, the brand is also building a broader global fan base. Hyundai Motor is strengthening its consumer touchpoints — not only in the U.S. and Europe but also in emerging markets — positioning the brand for sustained growth in value and recognition.

Strengthening Global Business Momentum Amid Uncertainty

Hyundai Motor’s strong brand valuation growth is supported by several significant achievements in 2024 that demonstrate its resilience and global influence:

  • Record-Breaking Revenue: Hyundai Motor achieved record-high sales revenue of KRW 175.2 trillion in 2024, marking five consecutive years of growth since 2020. The company also maintained a robust operating profit margin of 8.1 percent.
  • 100 Million Vehicles Milestone: The company reached a cumulative production milestone of 100 million vehicles in 2024 — one of the fastest automakers to achieve this in its 57-year history.
  • Landmark IPO in India: Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL), a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company, completed the largest-ever listing in Indian stock exchange history in 2024.
  • Strategic U.S. Investments: The company strengthened its presence in North America by expanding its investments in the region.

Solidifying Mobility Leadership

Hyundai Motor continues to lead the global mobility industry with groundbreaking advancements in electric vehicles (EVs) and safety. In 2025, the company’s global reputation as a leader in mobility was reinforced through key achievements:

  • Award-winning Models: The INSTER was named the 2025 World Electric Vehicle by the World Car Awards, marking the fourth consecutive year of recognition
  • Safety Leadership: As of October 2025, seven Hyundai models earned the 2025 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+) rating from the IIHS crash tests, underscoring the company’s commitment to passenger safety. Award applies to US models.
  • Meeting Diverse Customer Needs: Hyundai Motor expanded its electrified lineup by launching IONIQ 9 and the all-new NEXO fuel cell electric vehicle, offering consumers more options.
  • Bridging the EV Adoption Gap: Hyundai Motor drove hybrid vehicle sales growth, emphasizing their importance in addressing early-stage EV adoption challenges.

Securing Future Growth Drivers

Hyundai Motor is securing its future by investing in advanced technologies. These efforts include:

  • Opening of HMGMA: Hyundai Motor unveiled the first software-defined factory (SDF), powered by AI and data, to drive innovation and efficiency in its manufacturing processes.
  • Pleos Software Brand: The company launched its new mobility software platform ‘Pleos’, laying the foundation for a future ecosystem of software-defined vehicles (SDVs).

Innovating and Investing in Creative Brand Experience

Hyundai Motor demonstrated its ability to connect with global audiences through innovative campaigns, sponsorships, and customer experiences:

  • Award-Winning Creativity: The company earned five awards, including a Grand Prix, at the 2025 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity for standout campaigns, such as the short film ‘Night Fishing’ and the CSR initiative ‘Tree Correspondents.’
  • Global Brand Building: The company is strengthening its brand presence across key regions, from its 26-year FIFA partnership to new sponsorships, including the ASEAN Football Federation Hyundai Cup and the CONMEBOL Libertadores, South America’s most prestigious club football competition.

The Interbrand rankings, released annually by the global brand consultancy, evaluate the world’s leading companies across three core factors: financial performance, the role of the brand in influencing customer choice, and the brand’s strength in driving future growth. Hyundai Motor’s performance in 2025 reflects its strategic success in growing global business momentum, advancing mobility leadership, and delivering creative and innovative brand experiences.
