Sales of new energy vehicles reached 28,813 units, up 28.42% year-on-year. Sales of boxy models totaled 43,182 units, a 24.74% increase, ranking first in the Chinese market for this category. Highlighting Strength in Technology, Off-Roading, and Globalization at Auto Shanghai

At the show, GWM officially launched its Globalized Multi-Powertrain Strategy, which emphasizes a combined use of internal combustion and electric power to achieve high efficiency, extended range, and adaptability to diverse global markets.

GWM President Mu Feng stated at the press conference: “GWM doesn’t see the choice between oil and electricity as mutually exclusive. Instead, we align powertrains with the needs and driving scenarios of global users. The synergy between ICE and electric systems offers the optimal power solution for global markets.”

Complementing this strategy is GWM’s new 4.0T V8 engine, one of the highlights of the show, further reinforcing GWM’s foothold in the global premium off-road market. In plug-in hybrid technology, GWM showcased its Hi4 tech platform. The intelligent 4WD hybrid architecture Hi4 offers dynamic 3-motor 9-mode switching and intelligent energy management for four-wheel-drive performance with two-wheel-drive efficiency. The Hi4 Performance version delivers full-range efficiency and low energy consumption, particularly in mid-to large-sized vehicles. Hi4-T is optimized for rugged off-road performance with power, electric range, and fuel economy.Hi4-Z, the all-terrain hybrid platform, delivers up to 715 kW of system power, 0–100 km/h acceleration in under 4 seconds, and over 200 km of pure electric range—balancing urban and off-road usage.Hi4-G, designed for heavy-duty trucks, aims to make long-haul logistics more fuel-efficient, eco-friendly, and safe.

As GWM reaches a cumulative sales milestone of over 15 million vehicles, the company also unveiled a refreshed corporate logo at the show. The new logo adds a “GWM” base to the iconic beacon tower design—representing “Great Wall Motor” as well as the brand spirit “Go With More,” symbolizing ongoing progress.

At the event, GWM showcased new models from all six of its brands, each highlighting the company’s diverse innovation strengths. The second-generation HAVAL B07 comes equipped with the latest Hi4 technology and Coffee Pilot Plus, delivering comprehensive upgrades in efficiency, safety, and driving experience. The new WEY 80 features a smart cockpit, advanced driver assistance systems, and intelligent all-wheel drive as standard, meeting the versatile needs of modern families. The 2025 TANK 300 retains its iconic design while enhancing off-road performance, intelligent cockpit features, luxurious comfort, ergonomics, and overall reliability. ORA 07 Touring Edition combines fashion-forward aesthetics with intelligent technology and practical space, making it perfect for travel and outdoor adventures. The SAHAR POER Hi4-T integrates the strengths of new energy technology with the versatility of a pickup truck, focusing on powerful performance, adaptability across various scenarios, and dependable safety. Lastly, the SOUO S2000GL Limited Edition impressed with its “Cloud-Rising Lion” design, a moving tribute to traditional Chinese craftsmanship and cultural heritage.

In recent years, GWM has relied on its “Forest Ecosystem” to advance in intelligent cockpit systems, AI technology, core components, manufacturing, and R&D. At the show, GWM also presented its Coffee OS 3 smart cockpit system, multilingual large models, super seats, steer-by-wire systems, battery technologies, high-strength “Cage” body structures, and cutting-edge labs including its aeroacoustic and climate wind tunnels—demonstrating its commitment to safety and intelligent vehicle development.
