GWM Awards Top Dealers in Southern Africa

• Dealers from across Southern Africa win at the 2023/24 Awards
• Awards made on the eve of new GWM branded showroom reveal
• Many new products to accompany new look showrooms

GWM South Africa celebrated the growth and performance of its dealer network at its 2023/24 Dealer of the Year Awards, held recently in Johannesburg.

The gala event saw dealers from across Southern Africa being called to the podium to receive one of the many awards to recognise their performance in sales, service, after-sales, vehicle accessories and vehicle financing.

The evening ended with the four winning dealers announced in the main Dealer of the Year categories – Small, Medium, Large and Mega Dealers. Haval Randfontein, Haval Springs, Haval Centurion and Haval Pretoria won in these respective categories.

“Many of the GWM dealers that received an award have been with us since we first opened our doors 16 years ago,” says Conrad Groenewald, Chief Operations Officer of GWM South Africa.

“These dealers, and the many others that have joined us along the way, have seen GWM grow from a small supplier of reliable pick-ups to a top 10 vehicle supplier with a large and exciting range of vehicles that cater to all of the growing segments of the Southern African vehicle market.”

At the GWM Dealer Awards, the brand revealed an exciting range of upcoming models, including the GWM P500, the new GWM Jolion Pro, the imposing new GWM TANK 500 and the HAVAL H7.

These new products follow the recent introduction of the GWM TANK 300 and the GWM ORA 03 all-electric vehicle.

All of these exciting new models, and the range of popular GWM, HAVAL and P-SERIES models that have made GWM a best-selling brand in South Africa will soon be sold at new-look dealerships. 

These dealerships are in the process of rebranding their GWM and HAVAL showrooms to show the new GWM brand identity with all of its sub-brands – TANK, ORA, HAVAL and P-SERIES on one showroom floor.

“GWM has embarked on a new global brand strategy under the campaign – Go With More. It brings new energy to the brand and highlights its exciting future that will offer customers a choice of modern vehicles with the same value-for-money promise as before,” says Bianca van Staden, Head of Brand, Marketing and Public Relations at GWM South Africa. 

GWM South Africa annually reviews the performance of every single dealer in a host of different categories, including fleet sales, finance and insurance service quality (F&I), accessory sales, after sales (the service a client receives during their ownership of a vehicle), sales performance and overall sales volume. 

At the same time GWM and its team of dealer support staff evaluate the individual performance of dealer staff and management. It awards the best performing staff in specific categories, including best sales manager, best service manager, best accessory parts manager and best dealer principal.

The Dealer Awards awarded dealers from as far afield as Malmesbury, Zululand, eMkhondo (Piet Retief), East London and Welkom received awards. This is testament to the high quality of customer service at GWM Dealers across the country and the fact that a customer of the GWM range of products is never far from service and support, no matter where they find themselves.
