GWM Vice President Liu Yanzhao stated that the GWM Off-Road Alliance is a non-profit organization composed of relevant ecosystem partners, dedicated to supporting off-road enthusiasts and fostering a healthy, thriving off-road culture in China and worldwide.
Developing a comprehensive off-road ecosystem has long been a key focus for GWM. The company plans to collaborate with partners to establish specialized training academies tailored to different off-road scenarios, helping enthusiasts enhance their driving skills. The GWM Off-Road Alliance also aims to work with users, local governments, and off-road venues to discover and create off-road routes featuring different cultural characteristics.
Safety is paramount in off-road driving. The newly introduced off-road scenario grading standard categorizes terrain into four major types: snow, mountains, sand, and mud. It is further divided into ten levels based on difficulty and risk, ensuring that users can make informed decisions and enjoy off-roading safely.
As China enters a new stage of high-quality development, the automotive industry must possess both manufacturing strength and cultural influence. As GWM Chairman Jack Wei remarked, the GWM Off-road Day is part of China’s growing automotive culture. As China progresses toward becoming an automotive powerhouse, it should also establish itself as a leader in automotive culture. Moving forward, GWM will continue to uphold its off-road heritage, popularize off-road sports, and infuse Chinese off-road culture with deeper values and positive energy, setting an example for the industry and society.
