Two electric models are available at launch: The CLA 250+ Shooting Brake with EQ Technology and 200 kW output convinces with a range of up to 768 kilometres according WLTP. The CLA 350 4MATIC Shooting Brake with EQ Technology is the top-of-the-line model. Its two motors and all-wheel drive lead to a power output of 260 kW and 515 Nm of torque.

Both models feature a lithium-ion battery with a usable energy capacity of 85 kWh. And with a state-of-the-art 800-volt electric architecture, up to 315 kilometres of range (WLTP) can be added in just ten minutes. Fast DC charging is possible at 800-volt charging stations with a charging capacity of up to 320 kW. However, the all-new CLA Shooting Brake can also use a 400-volt fast DC charging infrastructure, as a DC converter is available as an option. The AC charging capacity is up to 22 kW (optional).

“The all-new electric CLA Shooting Brake is a true game-changer. It delivers sporty performance together with generous space and versatility. It redefines everyday driving – intelligent, efficient, and unmistakably Mercedes‑Benz. For our customers, it means more room for individuality, for adventure, and for their personal lifestyle.”
Mathias Geisen, Member of the Board of Management, Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Marketing & Sales

The interior of the-all new electric CLA Shooting Brake offers space for everything you need as well as a high-level flexibility. The rear seats come with a 40:20:40 split as standard for easy folding. This increases the trunk volume to 1,290 litres. Loading and unloading is fast and convenient with the electric EASY-PACK tailgate also as standard. The spacious luggage compartment in the rear is complemented by the frunk under the front hood, which provides an additional loading capacity of 101 litres. Likewise, the standard-fit roof railing easily accommodates surfboards, ski boxes or bicycles up top. The towing capacity of up to 1,800 kilograms (braked, 4MATIC model) can also handle larger caravans or trailers.

Sporty proportions with an elegant tailgate

The all-new Mercedes‑Benz CLA ShootingBrake catapults the sporty proportions of the CLA into the electric age, complete with lots more load space and a supremely stylish tailgate. From the power domes on the bonnet to the striking rear end, the all-new electric CLA Shooting Brake is built like an athlete.

The roof stretches rearward to give an elegantly flat line. The fixed glass roof comes as standard and extends seamlessly from the front windscreen to the rear. In a clever piece of detailing, the roof spoiler is painted black at the transition from the glass roof and in body colour in the outer area. This creates the impression that the glass roof continues into the rear window, lending a unique and distinctive elegance to the rear end.

Large switchable panoramic roof with starry illumination

The large panoramic roof sets a new standard in the segment and offers an exceptionally open, airy sense of space. To protect against solar radiation, it consists of heat-insulating laminated safety glass with an infrared-reflecting and a low-emissivity (LowE) coating on the inside. This reduces heating of the vehicle interior in summer. In winter, the LowE coating reduces heat loss by reflecting the interior heat back into the room. At 200 nanometres, it is thinner than a human hair, which has a diameter of about 50,000 nanometres.

The impressive new function SKY CONTROL is available as an option: the large glass surface can also switch between transparent and opaque. The surface is divided into seven switchable zones. Customers can individually choose how much light comes in. At night, the ambient lighting (also optional) creates a stunning wow effect. 158 stars are integrated into the glass surface and can be illuminated, creating a magical experience.

New multifunction steering wheel – the return of roller and rocker switches

The new steering wheel has improved ergonomics and intuitive operation. Mercedes‑Benz has reintroduced the control concept with a rocker switch for the limiter and DISTRONIC, as well as a roller for volume control, based on numerous customer requests. The capacitive switch panels are seamlessly integrated and provide tactile aids for better orientation. Additionally, some functions have been removed from the control panel for better clarity and usability, making the finger navigation pad for controlling the driver display significantly larger and thus easier to operate.

Super-intelligent, intuitive and personalised

The company’s in-house, AI-powered MB.OS (Mercedes-Benz Operating System) takes the Mercedes‑Benz experience to a whole new level. Each vehicle is equipped with supercomputers connected to the Mercedes‑Benz Intelligent Cloud. This enables over-the-air updatesofallvehiclesoftware, includingdriverassistancesystems.Likeasmartphone, the all-newCLA Shooting Brakeremainsup-to-dateandreadyfornewfunctionsforyears to come.

Thanks to MB.OS, the all-new CLA Shooting Brake unleashes a new world of personalisation and intuitive interaction between customer and vehicle. The new intuitive MBUX user interface and its features create an immersive experience with real-time graphics for the driver and front-seat passenger. The UNITY 3D engine brings features to life, while the system takes full advantage of artificial intelligence (AI) from Microsoft and Google.

The MBUX Virtual Assistant uses the so-called multi-agent approach, incorporating AI tools from both companies. It selects the best source for each task, using knowledge gathered from the internet. For the customer, conversing with the MBUX Virtual Assistant is like chatting to a friend. It can provide answers and respond to questions without the user having to repeat the context.

MB.DRIVE sets a new standard with advanced driving and parking assistance systems

All CLA Shooting Brake models in Europe come standard with extensive safety equipment and the Distance Assist DISTRONIC. Mercedes‑Benz bundles additional comfort assistance systems under the name MB.DRIVE. MB.DRIVE ASSIST is available as an option from market launch in Europe. It offers significantly more comfort by complementing Distance Assist DISTRONIC with Steering Assist, making it a state-of-the-art SAE Level 2 driving assistance system. New in the CLA Shooting Brake is Lane Change Assist, which facilitates lane changes with a simple click of the indicator stalk. The safety assistance systems can prevent a wide range of accidents.

MBUX Entertainment Package and Digital Extras

The new CLA Shooting Brake offers the front passenger an optional dedicated 14-inch screen for individual entertainment. The continuously growing app portfolio includes leading applications from audio, video, gaming and productivity, as well as the data package integrated into the MBUX Entertainment Package for seamless access and uncomplicated connectivity. For example, video streaming platforms like Disney+, Triple-A video games via the cloud gaming provider Boosteroid, the latest audio tracks via Spotify, Amazon Music and Audible can be accessed or productive work can be done via meeting apps for Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex or MBUX Calendar. The passenger display can also be used while driving. On the central display, this is only possible when the vehicle is parked.

Additionally, the Mercedes‑Benz Store offers a growing selection of digital extras that individually enhance the vehicle and can be added at any time via the Mercedes‑Benz App, the Mercedes‑Benz website or directly in the vehicle5.

Intelligent navigation with tailormade route guidance from Google Maps

The navigation experience in the all-new CLA Shooting Brake is based on Google Maps. Now, route guidance is easier and more intuitive than ever before. The new customised navigation solution is based on map data from Google Maps, which is combined with real-time information from the vehicle. Mercedes-Benz Navigation with Electric Intelligence plans the fastest and most convenient route, including charging stops, based on numerous factors. It automatically adjusts the vehicle’s charging settings and optimises them for fast charging along the route – including preconditioning the high-voltage battery so that it is at the optimum temperature for fast DC charging at the right time. The system also provides energy-saving tips.

The solution was developed within the scope of the partnership between Google and Mercedes‑Benz. It is one of the first systems to integrate Google Cloud’s new Automotive AI Agent for in-vehicle use with Google Maps. Integrated visual communication likewise enters a new dimension with the optional MBUX Surround Navigation. It provides driving assistance, 3D imagery of the surroundings and route guidance – all seamlessly combined in real-time in the driver’s display.

Extensive individualisation options with AMG Line, Night Package and AMG Line Plus

The all-new CLA Shooting Brake boasts exceptional standard equipment and a wide range of individualisation options to suit different customer requirements. These include the popular AMG Line, the even sportier AMG Line Plus, numerous individual options such as the Night Package and three equipment packages that build on each other. The Progressive Line is on board as standard.
