  • The new Grande Panda 4×4 concept model, presented during the Grande Panda Hybrid Media Drive, is the direct heir of the Panda 4×4 from the ‘80s.
  • The new concept stands out for bold design, exclusive details, and the unique dark red livery, bringing the 80s Panda’s character into the modern era.
  • FIAT is providing the automotive world with an idea of an electrified, innovative rear axle that delivers all-terrain versatility.

FIAT takes center stage once again with the debut of the new Grande Panda 4×4 concept— a legendary icon reborn to capture the imagination of drivers around the world. The next chapter in the legacy of the Italian brand is marked by a potential true symbol of versatility, reliability, and freedom on four wheels. With its eyes set firmly on the future, the new Grande Panda 4×4 project is destined to be a manifesto for a fresh vision of sustainable mobility — a vision rooted in innovation, in line with current dictates, while maintaining the characteristics that made it a global cult favourite.

First launched in 1983, the Fiat Panda 4×4 quickly won over generations of enthusiasts by delivering a unique combination of practicality, comfort, and elegance, all wrapped in a compact form capable of tackling any terrain. Small on the outside, yet cleverly spacious on the inside, it offered everyday drivability paired with rugged off-road capability, embodying the ideal balance of city car and mountain climber. It was a revolution in motion: accessible, adaptable, and beloved by everyone.

Unveiled to the public during the Grande Panda Hybrid media drive, the direct heir of the Panda 4×4 serves as a reminder that tradition and innovation are the key ingredients for building a meaningful legacy. With its forward-looking spirit, the project ahead of the New Grande Panda 4×4 represents the fullest expression of an idea that continues to evolve, representing a starting point — the foundation of an exciting journey.

From a technical standpoint, the Grande Panda 4×4 concept is thought with an electrified innovative rear axle. This feature would enable the vehicle to deliver impressive performance in urban settings and on more demanding terrain. It’s a deliberate choice that underscores FIAT’s ongoing commitment to embracing increasingly sustainable and forward-looking technologies, all while preserving the adventurous spirit and everyday practicality that have always defined the Panda 4×4.

Design — a cornerstone of the Italian brand’s philosophy — has also been reimagined, with bold, distinctive details.

The mood that guided the choice of materials/colors and defined the Spirit of this model is definitely the concept of freedom, adventure, and the desire to rediscover the deep connection with nature. On the exterior, the iconic dark red color has been reinterpreted in a modern key with a deep, enveloping Bordeaux. The beige details dress the model with a nostalgic reference to the great 4×4 icon.

FIAT’s potential next four-wheel drive is accessorized with two lamps on the roof rack, in addition to those on the front, and will most likely feature other accessories.

With this modern reinterpretation of the Panda 4×4, FIAT reaffirms its desire to blend heritage and innovation, responding to the needs of a changing mobility landscape without ever losing sight of the model’s authentic and deeply popular soul.
