- Lancia Ypsilon confirmed to be a record-breaking fashion city car with Q1 2024 that ended with +16.4% units sold compared with the same period 2023.
- In March, with 4,845 units, Lancia Ypsilon was the second best-selling car in its segment and the third best-selling car on the market overall.
- Lancia Ypsilon is as well the best-selling hybrid car in its segment, both in March and in the quarter.
“We are very proud to witness the passion and love once again surrounding Lancia Ypsilon, a car that always played a leading role in the market, thanks to its unique style, gentle and sinuous lines, and typical Italian design, combined with connectivity, efficiency, and style. The figures for Q1 2024 certify a glorious journey and give us the opportunity to celebrate in the best possible way a model that made the history of the city car segment in Italy,” stated Luca Napolitano, Lancia Brand CEO.
Lancia Ypsilon greets the Italian market as best it can: the car has beautified the roads of Italy and has truly played a leading role in the first few months of this year, racking up extraordinary figures for the brand.
Lancia ended the first quarter with sales of 12,923 units, an increase of 16.4% compared to the same period in 2023.
In March alone, with 4,845 units sold, Lancia Ypsilon was the second best-selling car in its segment, and was the third best-selling car on the market overall.
The model was also the best-selling hybrid car in the segment, both in March with 4,210 units, and in the quarter with a total of 11,296 units.
Significant figures to crown the model, given the end of its production: the current version of Lancia Ypsilon will only be available on the Italian market for a few more months, and will then pass the baton to the New Lancia Ypsilon, the first car in the brand new era, unveiled on February 14 in Milan.
The Turin-based brand fashion city car par excellence has been a true record-breaker, with a dominant presence on the Italian market. Early 2024 has brought continuity to the results in the two years from 2022 to 2023, with the best performance ever: indeed, 2023 was the second consecutive record-breaking year for Lancia, with further growth in volumes to follow the results achieved in 2022, when the model had already been crowned as a market leader.
